Memory Awareness Screening for Early Detection
Posted underDo you know someone that has a memory problem? Now it is possible to be screened for memory problems and early detection of Alzheimer’s disease. Early detection will help individuals get the care and treatment that is necessary. National Memory Screening Day was introduced in November 2003, and is held each November. It takes place in November in recognition of National Alzheimer’s disease Awareness Month.
Memory screenings are located throughout the country. If you have parents or grand parents that are aging, they should find a location and schedule a screening. The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America website also lists “successful aging tips.” Their website is full of information about Alzheimer’s disease, its symptoms and its treatments. There is a great deal of research taking place to find a cure for this disease. The best way you can help this cause is to make a donation or support the fund raising events of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
This disease is very debilitating and it is important that we educate ourselves on anything we can do to prevent it, detect it and treat it. The memory screening is the best way to ensure that we are taking the necessary steps to live healthy. Visit the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America’s website and educate yourself on this disease.
