I love this thing. It is large plastic ball that is filled with air and it makes excercising very convenient. If you are a couch potato, this is right up your alley. You can actually do a number of exercises by sitting on it. You can get an aerobic workout or you can do resistance exercises on it if you have bands or weights. It also works really well for stretching exercise.

The exercise ball helps you with your balance and your coordination, because the ball is round you have to keep moving to keep your balance and this adds to your workout.

I can actually get an aerobic workout by sitting on this ball in front of the television and either tapping my heals out and back or by marching in place as I sit. I feel this workout is every bit as good as walking and I can watch my favorite television show while I am doing it.
