Green Tea and Weight Loss

I have reached my 5 pound weight loss goal for the month. I actually think that I may have lost 6 pounds this month. This may seem strange that I cannot remember how much I lost, but I cannot remember where I recorded my beginning weight.
I think I like the idea that I don’t know how much I have lost, because that tells me that I am not obsessing over my weight. This was something that held me back in the past. I have struggled with being overwhelmed in the past 2 weeks and I learned a while ago that being overwhelmed gets me in trouble. I eat my way from one side of the problem to the other. I learned a long time ago that I have eliminate the situation that is causing the problem. It took me a few days, but I did finally got rid of the excess stress and continued on with my life. I ate my way through those days, but not to the point where I gained weight or changed my thinking about my goals.
Now, about the green tea. I usually drink a cup in the morning and sometimes a cup in the afternoon. The brand I use has ginseng in it and is very inexpensive. Not only is this tea packed full of antioxidants, but it helps me control my appetite and gives me that energy boost that I am looking for. I usually sip on it all morning and especially when I feel like I am getting hungry.
I am working on a certification for work and I will be glad when I am done. This is a real challenge, because it changes my normal routine. Another 2 weeks and hopefully I will be done and can get back to the things in my life that mean more to me. This will help me advance my career and it is something that I need, but I also want to get back to my internet business. I would also like to exercise more. I will set those goals once I reach the certification goal.

Isn’t green tea a wonderful option? It is such an easy, safe and inexpensive way to up one’s intake of antioxidants. I love it. It also tastes great when mixed with our South African Rooibos tea. Have you tried that?

Getting exercise that is fun to you can be a great way to get rid of stress. You will be amazed at how you feel after say, a couple of circuits of weight traiining with high reps. Or trail running just fast enough to keep your heart really pumping. After you feel almost high on something because of the endorphins that exercise release into the spinal cord and the brain.
So if you want to do something that will actually help you to study for your certification, I would suggest exercise of some kind. It also has the advantage of burning calories.

green tea has higher quantities of flavonoids rather than any other teas. Not only it is good for weight loss but it is also good to prevent heart diseases.

Recent research does show that ginseng can help you lose weight. Adding this herbal supplement to your daily diet will increase the likelihood of your success at losing weight. However there are many different types of ginseng anf they all have different quality’s making them good for different things.
Dang Shen–For Weight Loss
This variety of ginseng is often used as an aid in weight loss, and is included in several herbal weight loss formulas. Dang shen works by increasing metabolism and improving digestion, which helps change fat into muscle. It is also considered both a strengthener and an energizer, and is frequently recommended for fatigue, loss of appetite, prolapsed organs and chronic diarrhea that results from weakness. Research has also shown it to increase red blood count and hemoglobin, and it is sometimes used for diabetes because it is thought to replenish fluids. It may strengthen respiratory functioning as well, and is often used for shortness of breath and chronic cough.

I definately think green tea is the way to go. I´ve also just heard that black tea is very good as well : think you should look into that as well! Well done with the 6 pounds. I´ve just recently moved house and I think I´ve GAINED 6 pounds…. I think weight is sometimes stress related but exercise is also important I guess - I need to do more as well. KEEP ON GOING!

I adore green tea but it never eases my hunger. Which is unfortunate, but I still drink it every day because of the health benefits. I just wish it helped with my tummy grumbles!

I am into drinking green tea too. I started drinking it 3 years ago in my hope to lose some weight though improving my metabolism and it did not fail me
The addition of green tea in my diet and of course reducing my rice intake from 1 cup to 1/2 cup helped me shed some weight. The green tea that I am taking is very affordable maybe because it is made somewhere in East Asia

Congrats on reaching your monthly goal of 5 lbs. As for green tea, I’ve never tried it for fat loss, but I know it’s loaded with all types of goodness. I’ve used it before, but mostly for the taste, but now there’s another reason. Thanks.

Here are some ways you can get rid of that excess fat AND keep it off:
1. start your day 1 hour early - stretch out and walk briskly for 30 minutes
2. eat a healthy breakfast - do no skip it - oats and fruit will be a good start
3. eat a light snack in 2 hours
4. eat a (preferably) vegetarian non fatty lunch
5. Drink a lot of water - double of what you already do - dont overdo it though!
6. eat dinner at least 2 hours before you go to bed. do not sleep on a full stomach!
do this for a week or two and you will see the difference and feel lighter!

Hi, thanks for the blog post. I had a question on a cancer “solution” that i heard of. it has to do with GSH or glutathione, is there any validity of this type of treatment? thanks

Great!
Glad that you realized the power of natural elements
Actually we are so much inspired by these high tech medicines these days that we forget the simple solutions available to us by God in nature.
It is very important to realize its significance.

Tea is also used in the Herbalife weight loss plan, but it seems this program is very slow and takes much time before you see some results. I wonder if it will work !
Anyway, your results prove that you can rely on simple and inexpensive supplements to lose and manage your weight.
Keep up the great job, I hope you’ll get your certification.
Harry.

Well done on losing your 5 (or 6?) pounds, that’s a good achievement and you should be proud.
What brand of green tea do you drink as I also want to get some with Gingseng in it. Also are all green teas full of antioxidants or only some secific brands?
All the best.

Green Tea is a great weight loss solution. Despite what many people have said there have been NO conclusive studies linking Green Tea to weight loss. The Caffeine will sure boost your metabolism but that may be all you are getting. There are some other advatages that may prove green tea and weight loss. Read this article for more information

I’ll try green tea for a week or two, just because i’ve heard so much good about it. But i don’t believe that it wakes u up nearly as good as coffee or black tea. I’m a coffee addict and i might have problems problem in my job if i don’t get enough caffeine.

I have seen a lot of great research about Green Tea and its help for weight loss. It is a stimulant and that is fine, but I just need to find a diet aid with no caffein. It increases anxiety and can lead to panic attacks if not careful. Also I have a hyatal hernia that is exacerbated by caffien.
Any thoughts?

I have been a big fan of Green Tea for quite a while now. It gives me the energy that I need in the middle of the afternoon and doesn’t come with the caffeine crash that so many other alternatives do.
Keep it natural and keep it simple.

Green Tea is good and you can get it in so many different forms although the best form is the natural “tea” form both hot and cold. Add a little lemon and you’ve got a tart, healthy, good tasting drink you can take just about anywhere.
