Weight Loss Motivation
Posted under it's my life by adminWeight loss motivation can sometimes be very elusive, but those that can keep their motivation up will reach their goal that much sooner.
I have gained 2 pounds that I just cannot seem to get off. Now to most people this may not seem like much, but I have set my weight loss goal for the time being at 25 pounds. I have gotten as much as 9 pounds of that 25 off, but here comes this 2 pounds.
I have not binged and I still exercise a lot. I would guess it is just a matter of time and the 2 pounds will come back off and hopefully more after that. I struggle much more with the eating part of getting healthy than the exercise part. I do well in the morning and can manage my eating in the afternoon, if I concentrate on it. But this tends to be the most stressful part of my day.
I have set my weight loss goal at 5 pounds a month and I am hoping to have the 25 pounds off by Thanksgiving. So, right now in order to reach that goal I need to lose 7 pounds this month. But these are benchmarks and they are not set in stone. At this time, I have the strength to continue the new behaviors I have established.
My weight loss motivation is high. I have no hesitation when it comes to exercise, but I wish could exercise more control when it comes to what I put in my mouth. I embrace the good days and try to do things different when I have a bad day. Thankfully, my days are not nearly as bad as they once were.

7 pounds a month is reasonable to expect as long as you’re eating right and getting enough exercise… When I go to the gym, I use a machine called the eliptical…. It burns more calories than running, and it’s also easier to do in my opinion…. I’ve had good results from it so far… Good luck in your journey!
weight loss can be a huge motivation if you run with someone and have someone that you care about push you. its always easier to have someone else there to encourage you and tell you that you can do it!
For maximum weight loss I always recommend keeping a food diary. A food diary will help you stay focused on what you are putting into your mouth.
Back pain is really killing me, is there any treatment that will make sure it heal completely ?
Hi
I also having problems in weight loss motivation specially when I started focusing on it. There were times that I have denials when doing exercises and diets. I usually say it is ok that i dont do it today or not control my diet because I will do it tomorrow.
And then as I continue reading blogs and health newsletters knowing bad effects of overweight and looking at the swim wear that I want to wear …. I got the perfect motivation

If you’re exercising a lot it could be that your adding muscle whilst losing fat. Muscle is more dense than fat and therefore “weight loss” may not be the best measure of where you want to be with your body. Two individuals of the same build will not weight the same if one is muscular and the other fat; the muscular individual will weigh more. Just a thought.
The things that I have found to be helpful are getting a “diet buddy” to keep you motivated and to just pay attention to how fatty foods make you feel. I find that when I eat fatty foods I feel tired and lazy, whereas if i eat healthier foods I feel energetic and happy. If you know something makes you sad, why wouldnt you eat the food that makes you happy right?
Many people who struggle with motivation lose sight of the benefits of losing weight,
* Start a walking group!
It’s more social and you all get to feed off the motivation of each other.
A walking group is a great idea. I see several of them when I am out during lunch, but I really enjoy walking by myself. I find it somewhat therapeutic.
It’s good to have set goals like you have, which will drive you to achieve it. But pay attention to “the law of attraction” you are trying to attract the positive aspect you losing the weight, you don’t want to attract the opposite.
