I agree…Weight Watcher’s seems to be a long term success story…I think that this is because it has modernized with the times and is based on a solid foundations of slow and steady weight loss.
It is good to have different programs to choose from because everybody’s different and we need to find a program that works for us personally.
This is my first time to read about Weight Watchers I am bit curious since am slowly gaining weight and since am really health and fit conscious person I would like to change my lifestyle by eating healthy and staying fit. Anyway I seems to get curious about the program there offering so I might enlist myself here as well.
Lap band is alright in life or death cases but there is always risks involved and no guarantee the pounds wont come back. I suggest you try losing weight naturally first, but you have to get serious. in any case good luck.
I check Weight Watchers’ web site and see a list of 1,500 recipes and meal ideas for weight loss.

well who would have guessed that eating right and exercise would be the most effective way to lose weight. I thought weight watchers was some kind of a support group like AA. they have meetings right? where they get together and help each other stay on the right path? Thats the biggest part from what I understand. the slimming power of mutual and collective shame is damn effective.
the weight watchers program has been around for more than 40 years… it is one of the most successful programs around, simply because it proves to be an effective system in loosing weight and has produced long term results… one other reason for its success is the support group which has become a source of motivation for all members… cheers!

I’ve never tried Weight Watchers, but I have a problem with a diet that allows donuts and beef equally! I prefer to stick to whole foods, natural recipes and eat in moderation.

I agree. Weight Watchers is one of the few so-called “weight loss programs” that actually works. I’ve never tried it myself, but my wife has with great success. Of course, she had to go back to them more than once.
Yep, without a lifestyle change you can’t change your body weight or composition.
